Careers at ReachLocal Media

Most agency sales jobs hand you a list, a quota, and a product you have to apologise for. This is not that.

We sell something businesses genuinely need right now: getting found when their customers search, including inside AI tools like ChatGPT. That makes the conversations easier, the objections fewer, and the work something you can be straight about.

We are small and growing. That is the honest pitch. It means less structure than a large company, and it means the person who starts as an SDR is the person who gets first shot at the closing seat when it opens.

What Is In It For You

A real path, not a dead end. Four seats, in order: SDR, Senior SDR, Account Executive, Account Manager. Each one is a genuine step with more ownership and more money, and we fill them from the inside first.

You learn the whole machine. You are not siloed into one script. You will see how a lead is sourced, how the call is booked, how the deal closes, and what happens to the client afterward. That is the knowledge that makes you expensive later.

Direct access to the person who built it. No layers of management between you and decisions. You will work alongside Logan directly, which means feedback comes fast and good ideas do not die in a queue.

Remote, with real hours. Work from wherever you are. We do ask for overlap with US business hours, because the prospects are here, and we are direct about that up front rather than springing it on you later.

A hiring process that respects you. A skills assessment, a real conversation, and a paid trial before anyone commits. You get told where you stand at every step. No ghosting.

The Path

Four roles, one ladder. You do not have to start at the bottom, but the bottom is a genuinely good place to start here.

Step 1

Sales Development Rep

You start conversations. You work the reply queue, follow up properly, and book qualified calls. You are the reason the pipeline exists.

Good fit if: you are organised, you actually follow up, and you would rather have a real conversation than blast a template.

Grows into: Senior SDR

Step 2

Senior SDR

You still book calls, but you also shape how we do it: messaging that works, lists worth working, and helping newer reps get to their first booked call faster.

Good fit if: you have hit targets before and you are the person others ask how you did it.

Grows into: Account Executive

Step 3

Account Executive

You close. You take the booked call, understand the business in front of you, and sign them. This is the seat that currently belongs to the founder, and the plan is to hand it over.

Good fit if: you can hold a consultative conversation, handle a real objection without flinching, and be trusted with the last word on a deal.

This is the seat that replaces the founder in sales.

Step 4

Account Manager

You own the client after the sale: onboarding, campaign check-ins, reporting, and the relationship. Retention and referrals live here.

Good fit if: you are the person who remembers the detail, sends the update before it is chased, and would rather keep a client happy than win a new one.

Sits alongside: Account Executive

What You Would Be Selling

Worth knowing before you apply, because you will be talking about it every day.

We publish content for local and growing businesses in eight formats every month and distribute it to over 300 platforms: search engines, YouTube, social, podcast directories, news sites, and AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude.

The argument is simple and it holds up. Most buying research no longer happens on Google alone. If a business only shows up in one place, it is invisible everywhere the decision is actually being made. We fix that, without ad spend.

You will not have to oversell it. The problem is real and most owners already feel it.

How Hiring Works Here

1. You apply. A short application, including a two to three minute video so we can hear how you actually talk. That matters more than a CV in this work.

2. Skills assessment. About 45 minutes. It is the same one for everyone, and it is scored the same way for everyone.

3. A real conversation. 45 minutes with Logan. You will get a short role-play so you can see how we actually talk to prospects, and every question you have about pay, hours, and the work gets a straight answer.

4. Paid trial. Finalists do a short paid trial before anyone commits. You get paid for it, and you get to find out whether you like the work before you take the job.

You will hear from us at every stage, including if the answer is no.
